Many are called…

Wow, that was fast. I only just filled out the form online yesterday and this morning I got a call from the University of Phoenix to help facilitate my enrollment. They walked me through a few questions, some of which I knew the answers to (am I a U.S. citizen?) some I did not (how am I going to pay for this?). The best part though was when they asked me about my education background. congratulations.jpg They said “congratulations” on both my high school degree and my B.A. I felt really good about that. We work so hard at school and after it’s over, we sometimes forget what an accomplishment that is. My point is, the guy I was talking to really made me feel good about myself.

We went over some specifics of the class I’m interested in (BSHS 451, for any of you who’d like to join me!). Its five weeks long and at least one class starts up each month. Like all of the school’s classes, I’ll have to participate in discussions by responding to postings on message boards at least twice a week. I can download the lectures and then I have to log into the course 4 of 7 days a week—but get this, I can do it from anywhere! Home, work, library, friend’s house, wherever!

So, after I got off the phone with the U of P guy I checked my e-mail, and he’d already sent me an message detailing everything we had talked about on the phone., plus more links and info to get me started. I’m going on vacation tomorrow, so normally I’d say I’d do it when I get back, but I can enroll from any computer, so maybe I’ll just do it from the hotel.
