Hi everyone! This is my first post on our blog and I wanted to introduce myself. I’m DegreePirate, President of our online education fraternity Epsilon Mu Delta.

As the esteemed president of EMΔ I want to let you know that we pride ourselves on community service, mumble mumble and PARTIES. Let me tell you a few things I’ve noticed during my tenure here:

1. We don’t actually do community service
2. I couldn’t think of a positive second bullet point so I mumbled
3. Different degrees affect your ability to pick up the ladies at our legendary online education frat parties

I’ve seen it all my friends and if you’re considering several different degrees let me enlighten you on how you can use it as an angle at our world famous parties:

Psychology: Nothing says “sensitive listener” quite like a psychology degree. If you get the talkin’ and sharin’ down pat your next stop is Phone Number Station. Choo-Choo!

Political Science: It’s all about the power. Ladies love it. America loves it. You love it. It’s win-win-win!

Culinary Arts: Women love a man that can cook. Trust me. Every time I tell a woman I can’t cook they tell me that. Then I order out…and they pay. Note there is rarely a second date.

General Studies: You have to be really good looking to make this one work.

Business: This can help when negotiating. For example,

You: Hi beautiful. Can I get your number?

Woman: No.

This is where you negotiate.

Criminal Justice: Ladies love a man in uniform. Trust me. That’s why I bought one on eBay.

Teaching: Just say these magic words and you’re in: “I love kids.” Bonus points if you can sing The Greatest Love of All by Whitney Houston: “I believe that children are our future/Teach them well and let them lead the way/Show them all the beauty they possess inside…”

Science and Math: Hey if the guys from Delta Delta Delta could do it so can you!

Graphic Design: Women love mysterious, loner, soul-searching sketch artists. But you will happen to be a mysterious, loner, soul-searching artist that can also turn your drawings into animated gifs and avatars! It’s the New Hotness 2.0™.
